What other people say or think about me is of no consequence. I am happy with my life and other people’s negative words can not change that. So if you happen to be one of those negative people who just read my blog to keep up to date with what I’m doing so you can bitch about me……. ROCK ON and enjoy!!! Bitch all you want! Feed your negativity, let it eat away at you and know that the whole time I am sat here smiling, living my happy little life x
This is a repost from my old blog. I wanted to share this one again as I know many people who read this blog share their lives with beloved pets.
Many of us have pets and familiars that we share our lives and homes with. Its a sad fact that these beautiful creatures can only be here on this earth with us for a limited time. When the time comes for us to say goodbye we are often as heartbroken as if we had lost a human child. Continue reading
My New Altar, I love this piece of furniture!
Do you fancy a peak inside?
read on if you want to know more…………
For ages I have wanted to create a permanent altar area where I can honour mine and my husbands ancestors. I had seen this post on the lovely Witchy Words blog and was totally inspired to create my own altar that would stay in place year round.
I didn’t seem to be able to find the right space in my old altar room that would allow me to do this in the style I wanted to. Even though the old room was much larger than my current room I just didn’t have the space I needed. When I was making a plan of all the things I wanted to include in the design layout for the new room, an ancestor altar was right up there near the top of the list.
I adore Practical Magic I think it is one of my all time favourite films EVER!!! I don’t think there is anything about the film that I dislike, the actress’s are perfect, their clothes are just fabulous and the set is amazing. I mean who wouldn’t want to live amongst those amazing women, in that house, on that island??? Continue reading
As I have almost everything in place in my new room I thought it would be a good time to share some of the details with you all.
I decided I wanted to create a Witches Bottle to act as a room blessing for my new witch room. I like to design my spells from scratch, this way I know they are perfect for me and my requirements. I have a few spell books from when I first stepped onto the Goddess path, but I find that these spells are very generic and the books never seem to explain why each item is used, they just tell you what to use. I prefer to use items that have a meaning to me, not just because someone told me to use them.
After some serious thought on the matter last month, I decided that having the larger of our spare rooms as my “witch/altar room” was just silly. Now that I no longer host evenings with a Sister Witch Circle I really didn’t need so much room. My long suffering computer geek of a husband had been stuffed in the smaller spare room with more computers, printers, cables and spare screens than any one geek really needs (ok ok…. we’ll not mention the millions of handbags, shoes and scarves in my wardrobe). This could only mean one thing! It was time for a change! So with my enthusiasm driving us and a few days booked off work for the geek. We got started swapping the rooms about.
Last night while attending Bloodstones AGM. (Oh I suppose I should say for the those of you that don’t know me IRL I’m a member of a border morris dancing team called Bloodstone Border Morris check us out, we’re pretty cool!) I was voted in as Bagman for the next 12 months. This basically means its my job to make the bookings for the team, liaise with the other teams Baggys, make sure the online calendar is up to date (thankfully my hubby is webmaster) inform members when each dance is and at what time and let the squire know who is attending.
